Happy Mothers Day

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY

If you saw my last blog post, I had put together a little project for Mothers Day.

The purpose of the project was to get a bigger idea as to why women hold back when it comes to booking a photo shoot of their own. Most of the time, the reason people don’t step in front of the camera is because of their own insecurities. Were all human, it happens.

This was something for women everywhere.
Even us women who love your children to death but are happy as a kid in a candy store once our babysitting duties are done.

I just wanted to show you and the people who watch this video that there are other people that will always see you in a different light.
They’ll never see your flaws the way you do, they’ll only see your heart.

Please take a look at the mini video we put together below.

To all the moms out there, we love you for what you do.

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!

Sincerely,
Patricia Sequeira

The Mommy Project!

So if you follow my Instagram then you would have seen that I am working on a project set to come out for Mothers Day. The basis of it is to show you and any other woman who comes across my Website the secrets to self-confidence.

I have heard WAY too many "I can't wait to do a photoshoot with you but only when I've lost some weight" OR "I LOVE the photos but I don't like _____ about me"
My job is to create a photo that you will love, that you will cherish, that you will look back on in years to come but I can't do that job if the person that you see in the photo isn't someone you love yourself.

Now, I'm my own harsh critic as well. I've fallen victim to those same exact thoughts. Pfft, I can't tell you how many photos I've un tagged on Facebook over the years!! But I've been doing my best through out the beginning of 2016 to work on my self confidence and with that, I want to do my best to do the same for you.

What better time to do it then with Mothers day 2 months away!

I'm looking for Mommies and Little Ones to participate in a little video campaign on Sunday March 27th. We will ask each mother a small series of simple questions about themselves. From there, we will have the mothers leave the room and ask the children the same set of questions about their mothers as well as themselves. What are the questions you ask? Sorry! Can't tell you! We can't have you coaching your little ones what to say. The point is to have the most realist answers from the bottom of their tiny little hearts. Younger siblings are more than welcome to join in on the session as well despite their ability to answer any of the questions, they'll be like cute little decorations!

Now for your time - After the Q&A is done, we will have a quick 15 minute mini session with you and your little ones. Sorry dad's, no dads allowed (we still love you anyway)

Be sure to dress to impress with your hair did and the mascara ready! If that's your thing of course, natural beauty's are always welcome! You will be provided with 3 watermarked digital images.

Considering we only have 6 slots available and this is a free event, This is not a first come, first serve event. Candidates will be picked from a ballot on Monday March 14th.

Please make sure that you are available for that date when entering.

Date: Sunday March 27th
Time: 09:00AM - 01:00PM
Location: Dixie Rd. & Dundas St E
Mississauga, ON
Official address once booked

I am super excited for this event and I can't wait to see who will join us for this project!

Salon Goulart - Come & Get Beautiful!

This is for my girls (and boys) who need a fresh new do but don't know where to go.  Who to trust with their locks or where they can get that fresh new vacation pedi without the cold stares or the constant need to check Google translate to make sure that they're not calling you a troll in another language.

Today's blog is about a salon in the heart of Toronto's Trinity Bellwoods neighbourhood by the name of Salon Goulart.

Click to go to Salon Goularts website

Now this opinion might be a bit biased because their part owner & aesthetican - Stephanie Goulart is not only a client of my own, my facial goddess as well as vacation partner but she has also been a friend for more years then I can count. Who knew that a weekend in Wasaga at the age of 19 with 90% of strangers would turn into long time friends and business partners!

This salon has a small and cozy feel. With every option to join in on conversations between strangers or sit in silence while someone plays with your hair. Each stylist having their own 'touch' whether it be through a cut, colour or some good ol' extensions.

I've had the pleasure of having Melissa Goulart Hellam bring me out of the dark into light as I take my trip to Blonde town. She takes the time to listen to what it is that YOU want and creates it. Her years of experience help her guide her clients into making the right decisions for treating and caring for this mop on our head that can either make us feel like a million bucks or a worthless penny.

You can also count on Stephanie Goulart to bless you with her angel hands as she examines your poor decisions that are reflecting off your skin and zaps them into oblivion. All while you take a trip to dreamland as she gives you what feels the the greatest mini neck massage EVER! If you're someone like me who enjoys to learn new things and take in new information, there is never a question that Steph won't answer without precision. She is constantly learning and incorporating her lessons into her work. I mean, the girl even opted out of an afternoon in the Mexican sun to sit through a online skin care conference during one of our vacations. Now that's dedication!!

Although I haven't had the opportunity to sit in the chairs of both Helena and Stephanie S (Yes, there are TWO Stephanie's). I have no doubt that their years of experience wouldn't leave anyone happy at the end of the day. Whether it be Steph's bubbly personality, Jordana's sweet demeanour or Helena's humorous daily conversations about muscled men with chest hair. I'm sure that they are the perfect fit for any client that walks through the Salon Goulart entrance.

With that being said - Check out their website www.salongoulart.ca to learn more about what Salon Goulart has to offer. I promise you won't be disappointed.

Two Thousand and Sixteen

Okay, so it's no secret that I'm trying to play it off as if it hasn't been a year and half since I've written a post. Sue me!!!

After January 1st, people asked me what my resolutions were for 2016. With that, I replied "Just to be great." I didn't want to make another fake promise to myself that I might not keep (example: "I will write a blog at least once a month - Way to go Tish!) but the whole point of resolutions or any goal is to understand that you may fail but it's your choice to keep going.

With that being said, for 2016 I'm sticking to my word and choosing to be GREAT. Nothing more, nothing less. I'm choosing to work on myself, to work on my business, to network more and meet new people with a little booty building in between ;)

Thank you for being you!
Hopefully we can be great together in 2016 and forward!

Patricia
